Quick Summary

The 3 Things That Matter Most

We designed TATi Maui's billing around one principle: you should never be caught off guard. Here's what you need to know in 30 seconds.

1

Free trial = 14 full days

Your card is not charged until day 15. Cancel any time before then — zero cost.

2

Post-billing refunds aren't automatic

Billing errors, duplicate charges, and verified platform outages are always reviewed.

3

Cancellation is instant & penalty-free

Cancel from your dashboard at any time. Access continues until your paid period ends.

1

Your 14-Day Free Trial — Zero Risk

Every new TATi Maui account begins with a 14-day free trial. This isn't a reduced-feature preview — it's the full platform, exactly as paying subscribers experience it.

Best practice: If you decide TATi Maui isn't right for your Maui vacation rental, cancel before your trial ends. Your card will never be charged. Cancellation takes under 60 seconds from your account dashboard.

  • The trial begins the moment you create your account and activate the free trial.
  • Your payment method is collected at sign-up for seamless continuation, but no charge is processed until the 14-day trial concludes.
  • You can cancel at any point during the trial — day 1, day 7, or day 13 — at absolutely no cost.
  • Trial access includes all plan features at the tier you selected at checkout.
2

How Subscription Billing Works

If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription activates automatically and your payment method is charged for the upcoming billing period.

D1
Account created — free trial begins

Full platform access. No charge. Explore every feature at your pace.

D7
Reminder email, if applicable

We send a courtesy reminder before your trial ends so you can make an informed decision.

D14
Trial ends — last day to cancel for free

Cancel before midnight Hawaii Standard Time to avoid being charged.

D15
Subscription begins — first charge processed

Your selected plan renews automatically at the end of each billing cycle.

All charges are billed in advance for the upcoming billing period. You are responsible for managing your own subscription, including plan upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations.

3

Refund Eligibility — What Qualifies and What Doesn't

Because TATi Maui is a subscription software service with immediate access to all platform features upon billing, refunds are not automatically issued once a billing cycle has started.

Situations We Review

  • Duplicate charges — charged twice for the same billing period
  • Billing errors — wrong amount charged due to a platform or payment processor error
  • Unauthorized transactions, subject to verification
  • Verified TATi Maui platform outages that prevented meaningful use of core features
  • Exceptional circumstances, reviewed case by case

Non-Refundable Situations

  • Forgetting to cancel before the trial ends or before a renewal date
  • Account inactivity after billing starts
  • Requests submitted after a significant portion of the billing period has elapsed
  • Issues caused by third-party platforms outside our control
  • Change of mind or switching to a competing tax service
  • Misunderstanding of plan features after purchase

Important reminder: The most common reason for unexpected charges is forgetting to cancel before the free trial ends. Set a calendar reminder for day 13 of your trial if you're on the fence.

How to Request a Refund — 3 Simple Steps

If you believe you qualify for a refund, here's how to reach us. We review every request and respond within one business day, Monday through Friday, Hawaii Standard Time.

01

Email us

Send your request to support@tatimaui.com with the subject line: Refund Request – [Your Account Email].

02

Include three details

Your account email address, the invoice date and amount charged, and a brief description of the issue.

03

We review & respond

If approved, refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card provider.

5

Cancellation Policy — Cancel Anytime, Penalty-Free

TATi Maui does not lock you into long-term contracts or charge cancellation fees. You are free to cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason, with no penalty.

How to cancel

Log into your account at app.tatimaui.com, navigate to Account & Billing, and select Cancel Subscription.

What happens next

Your subscription renewal is stopped immediately. You retain access until the end of your current paid billing period.

Your data

Your account and data remain accessible through the end of your paid period. Download reports before access expires.

No prorated refunds

Cancelling mid-cycle does not trigger a refund for unused days because access remains active throughout.

Re-subscribing

You can re-activate your account at any time. Historical data may be available within a reasonable retention window.

Maui vacation rental owners: Tax season timing matters. If you're approaching a Hawaii DOTAX or Maui County MCTAT filing deadline, we recommend keeping your subscription active until your reports are filed and downloaded.

6

Changes to This Policy

TATi Maui may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our billing practices, legal requirements, or platform features.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and may notify active subscribers via email. Continued use of TATi Maui after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For historic versions, contact our support team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick Answers to Refund and Billing Questions

These are the billing questions we hear most often from Maui vacation rental owners.

Yes. Every new account includes a 14-day free trial with full platform access — no credit card charge until the trial ends. If you cancel before day 15, you pay nothing.

Forgetting to cancel before the trial or renewal date is one of the non-refundable situations under this policy. If there were extenuating circumstances, email support@tatimaui.com and we will review the request.

Duplicate charges are a clear billing error and will be corrected. Email support@tatimaui.com with your account email, both invoice amounts, and a screenshot of your bank or card statement.

Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method. Processing typically takes 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

No. You retain full access to all features and data until the end of your paid billing period. We recommend downloading your Year-End Tax Package and any monthly reports before your subscription expires.

Issues caused by third-party platforms, including Airbnb, VRBO, or network outages, are outside TATi Maui's control and are not covered by this refund policy. If the issue caused a verifiable failure of core TATi Maui features, contact us for review.

Log in to app.tatimaui.com, go to Account & Billing, and click Cancel Subscription. There are no cancellation fees and no required notice period. You keep access until the end of your current billing cycle.
